This unforgettable journey follows the Pamir Highway, one of the world’s most spectacular mountain roads, cutting through some of Central Asia’s wildest and most remote landscapes. Starting in Dushanbe, leafy streets and cafés quickly give way to dramatic mountain scenery as you head into the Pamirs.
After passing through Khorog, the route winds into the stunning Wakhan Valley, where villages like Ishkashim and Langar sit beneath towering peaks, with the Afghan border tracing the river below. The road then climbs higher onto the vast Pamir plateau, reaching Murghab and the remote, windswept shores of Bulunkul Lake, one of the highest settlements in the region and a place of striking, quiet beauty.
Crossing into Kyrgyzstan, the journey descends to Osh, a lively Silk Road city, before finishing in Bishkek, where wide boulevards and mountain views mark the end of an epic Central Asian road adventure.
